Hi All!

Angolan models have been also rocking the NYFW. They are Maria Borges, Sharam Diniz and Roberta Narciso. The last, was the black model that walked for PRADA last year.

I have been following African style daily for a while and I noticed that your site doesn’t report much about those models.

Best Regards.

[...] Mimi Plange (above) had no choice. When it came to selecting a New York City venue to showcase her Fall 2012 Collection it had to be luxe as her clothes. As editor after editor stepped inside the sprawling space — a private residence in The Setai on Fifth Avenue — her reasoning became clear.
It's so refreshing to find others speaking about this topic!

On behalf of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where I am an adjunct professor, I am heading to the International Foundation of Fashion Institutes annual conference to present a paper I wrote on the African Fashion Industry and the AGOA (African Growth and Opportunity Act) with the US and multiple Sub Saharan African countries. I plan to highlight the topic you mentioned above and invite you to contact me if you would like to continue exploring this topic! For more about me, feel free to go to my international trade blog http://internationaltradeforeverydaypeople.blogspot.com/2012/01/origin-africa.html
